Should You Post Bail Quickly? Part One

  • When someone sits in jail there are a lot of things that need to happen.  From a practical standpoint especially if they will be in prison or jail for any length of time.  For example they will need to contact their employer and inform them if they will be absent for work.  They may also need to contact coworkers in order to have work shifts covered.  Unfortunately even if they are able to contact their employer and have shifts covered they can still be at risk to lose their job.
  • Another disadvantage they are faced with when they sit in jail is in their ability to contact help.  Because they’re personal belongings are confiscated after an arrest they may not be able to easily contact their family, employer, or legal help.  Which can put them in a difficult situation if they need to arrange to pay bail or contact a lawyer to help build their case.
