“Can you tell me about the bail bond process?”

This question is important because it will help you gauge how professional the company or bail bond agent is – if they can’t explain to you how bail bonds work or what’s involved steer clear!  You want to look for a bail bond agent or company that is experienced and able to clearly explain what’s involved.

“What does it cost to post bail?”

Another important question to ask is how much it’s going to cost to post bail.  If the person you’re talking with won’t answer or avoids giving you numbers this is a red flag.  A professional and experienced bail bond agent will know what bail will cost and can give you an itemized account of the costs and what they cover.

“Are you/the company licensed?”

When looking for a bail bond agent/company make sure you ask if they are licensed in the state of Delaware.  Unfortunately it’s all too easy for anyone to create realistic websites and business listings – even if they look the part don’t be afraid to ask about their licensing and experience.  Which brings us to our next question.

“Can you tell me about your experience?”

Everyone knows experience is a great teacher.  One of the things you’ll want to know about your bail bond agent or company is their experience.  Are they new to the profession or are they seasoned professionals?  It wouldn’t hurt to ask for references or reviews as well.
